Last year's performance by singer Yulia Mikhailovskaya in the Bottle House courtyard was one of the most impressive concerts in the whole Jazz Wednesday season. In one year, Julia managed to record the album But Beautiful, made up of original arrangements of classical jazz ballads from the first half of the last century. The leading Russian jazz critic and musicologist Vladimir Feiertag wrote the introduction for the record. Julia also put together the Unforgettable program for the centennial of the legendary singer and pianist Nat King Cole, which she presented at the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater. Besides this, she does not neglect to expand her repertoire of Brazilian bossa nova and samba, which she performs in Portuguese with no less enthusiasm than the American mainstream. This time, in the courtyard of the Bottle House, Julia and her new quintet will perform compositions from all the programs that the singer has been working on this year.
