September 23, 24

This year educational programme of the Boomfest International Comics Festival will take place on New Holland Island. For two days the Pavillion will host lectures and discussions by comic book authors, publishers, curators and scholars. The first floor of the Mayak school will host a bookfair for fanzines, comics and illustrated books, and master-classes for kids.

Free admission.

Boomfest International Comics Festival was born in 2007 in Saint-Petersburg. Since then it has grown up into a bright international event in the world of comics art. Annually in September the festival covers the main city stages. Comics and illustration exhibitions, performances, film screening, competetitions and master-classes for young authors, meetings with artists and professionals and of course the book-fair — all of these could be found within every Boomfest.
