08.11.2021 Opening of the Ice Rink at New Holland Island On November 13, a winter Ice Rink will open on New Holland Island. The ice field of 2,000 m², as in previous years, will be located on the site of the large lawn near the main stage.

17.05.2021 X Years of New History of New Holland Island July 2021 will be ten years since the Island welcomed the first visitors of the New Holland: Cultural Urbanization project. These X years marked the beginning of a new history of New Holland Island and in many ways determined its future development.

19.02.2021 Open Lecture Hall at New Holland Island On March 1st, the fourth season of the regular educational events Open Lecture Hall will begin in the Pavilion of New Holland Island. In 2021, the project will be focused on ten key themes.

23.12.2020 New residents of New Holland Island Five new restaurant projects opened at New Holland Island in December.

10.11.2020 Opening of the Ice Rink at New Holland Island On November 14, the winter Ice Rink will re-open on New Holland Island. The 2,000-square-foot Ice Rink will still be located near the Main Stage which this time will be turned into a snow-covered winter forest. Guests will be entertained by forest monsters created by the team of the P.T.H. Creative Manufacture, and a terrace with hearths and comfortable chairs, where you can relax without taking off your skates will be set up at the entrance to the ice field.

From February 1 until April 12 David Hockney's video artwork Woldgate Woods, Winter, 2010 will be shown in the courtyard of the Bottle House at New Holland Island.

06.11.2019 Opening of New Holland Island Ice Rink On November 16, the Ice Rink will open at New Holland Island for the fourth time. The 2,000 m2 ice field will still be located on the lawn area in front of the Main Stage but this year visitors will have more opportunities to have a great time before, during and after the skating session.

26.09.2019 The Opening of House 12 at New Holland Island In early 2020 New Holland Island will complete the restoration and renovation of the building No.12 – a former timber warehouse located at the intersection of Kryukov and Admiralteysky Canals. A new part of the park space, adjacent to the summer stage and the eastern side of the Island's Basin, will also be unveiled.

22.08.2019 Revision St. Petersburg Book Festival at New Holland Island

From September 5 to 8, the second St. Petersburg international book festival, Revision, is taking place at New Holland Island. Revision is an intellectual literature fair and a big city celebration with an extensive events program. Revision is organized by the New Holland: cultural urbanization project.

01.08.2019 Marco Barotti’s Installations at New Holland Island On August 1 two installations by Berlin-based media artist Marco Barrotti, in which fictional post-futurist era is expressed through kinetic sound interventions in natural and urban environments, will appear on New Holland Island.

19.07.2019 Context. Diana Vishneva Special Festival Program at New Holland Island

On August 22, the unique Context. Diana Vishneva Festival program, which was created especially for this evening, will be presented on the round stage in the courtyard of the Bottle House building at New Holland Island.

09.07.2019 Results of The First Charity Event The Longest Table At New Holland Island On July 6, 2019, the first event was held at New Holland Island as part of the charity project The Longest Table. The goal of the project is to gather like-minded people, residents, partners and all guests to the New Holland: cultural urbanization project at one table in order to help a single charitable foundation.

05.07.2019 Night at the Opera Concert At New Holland Island On July 18, 2019, a Night at the Opera will take place on New Holland Island, where the Youth Opera company of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater will perform. Rising stars of academic music will perform famous opera roles from works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Puccini, Rossini, Mozart, Bizet and other composers.

22.05.2019 Artworks, installations and exhibitions at New Holland Island This summer, temporary artworks and installations by contemporary artists will once again be on display at New Holland Island. For this season, all the works featured will be devoted to the theme of humanity's relationship with the world around us, our influence on nature and the future of our planet.

17.04.2019 Summer Programme of Events at New Holland Island May 1 will mark the beginning of the seventh season of summer events at New Holland Island. Like in previous years, a big programme will be offered to visitors, with major areas of music, cinema, education, and sport. During five months the park will host over three hundred events of different scale and format: from regular sports activities to big concerts and festivals.

01.03.2019 Maslenitsa at New Holland Island From 8 to 10 March New Holland will once again be celebrating Maslenitsa (Pancake Week). Just like last year, the festivities will take place in the Bottle House courtyard.

11.12.2018 The New Year Holidays at New Holland Island From 25 December to 8 January there will be a New Year Market in the courtyard of the Bottle on New Holland Island, with 14 stalls selling festive food, treats and gifts located around a central, 8-metre high Christmas Tree. The Bottle’s ground-floor residents will also be serving seasonal food and drink on two additional temporary stalls. The courtyard will be decked out with patio-heaters and chairs, and from 15 to 31 December there will be a Christmas Tree market open next to the Bottle’s main entrance.

22.11.2018 New Holland Island received the Bernhard Remmers Academy award The architectural ensemble of New Holland Island received the Bernhard Remmers Academy award from the European Institute for the Conservation and Maintenance of Historic Buildings in the category Best International Project.

17.11.2018 THE SEASON OPENING OF THE ICE RINK ON NEW HOLLAND ISLAND On 17 November 2018 the main ice rink on New Holland Island will be open once again.

31.07.2018 Artworks оn New Holland Island July saw the appearance on New Holland island of a number of street-art installations by Russian contemporary artists. These works will be on display until 30 September 2018.

27.06.2018 Summer 2018 Program of Concerts for New Holland Island June 30 sees the start of the New Holland concert season, and on that date the island’s main stage will host a full concert by the Kito Jempere Band, featuring a unique 30-strong line-up including Finnish jazz legend Jimmy Tenor, star of Russian electronica Mujuice, along with part- and full-time members of such groups as IOWA, Manizha, Videatape, Long Arm, SunSay, “Аssay”, Kuznya Band, “The Kondakov Trio” and a concert orchestra.

08.06.2018 Gyula Varnai Art Installation on New Holland Island On 9 June the neon art installation «Miru Mir!» («Peace on Earth!») created by the Hungarian artist Gyula Várnai will  open on New Holland Island. The piece will be installed on the façade of Block 17 behind «The Bottle», and will be open to the public until 30 September 2018

24.05.2018 Glen Ballis named new Brand Chef at Kuznya House

In May 2018, the team at Kuznya House will be joined by brand chef Glen Ballis, who has developed a new concept for the menu, with an emphasis on local and seasonal produce. Working alongside Ballis will be the promising young chef Ruslan Zakirov (Dvor Dzen, Kreutz Flat, Polet Café.) In the near future, visitors will also see updated menus at Volkonsky DELI and the street bar and grill.

24.04.2018 New Holland Island unveils its Summer Program of Events On June 1, 2018, New Holland will inaugurate this year's edition of its Summer Season. As in previous years, visitors to the island will once more discover an enormous offering of events in the fields of music, film, education, sports and more. Over the course of four months, the park will host more than three hundred events of different formats and scales – from regular lessons to concerts and festivals.

08.11.2017 The Season Opening Of The Ice Rink On New Holland Island On November 18, 2017, New Holland Island will celebrate the return of its ice rink. As with last year, this rink will stretch over 2,000 m2, covering the entire lawn area in front of the Main Stage.

24.10.2017 Bone Music Exhibition on New Holland Island Bone Music is an exhibition examining a unique episode in postwar Soviet history. From the late 1940s to the early 1960s, inventive Soviet music lovers made illegal copies of banned music on used X-ray film. Their recordings were not limited to Western jazz and rock-n-roll, but also featured Russian émigré music, as well as popular prison and gypsy songs. Putting their freedom at risk, Soviet bootleggers brought some of the hits of the era to a broader Soviet audience and added an exciting chapter to the history of samizdat. Their craft died out in the mid-1960s with the introduction of reel-to-reel recorders, but left a legacy of sonically and visually unique artifacts.

20.07.2017 New Holland Island Launches The Bottle July 29 marks the grand opening of The Bottle, the third of the restored historical buildings to make its debut on New Holland Island.

27.06.2017 Kick-Off of the Summer Concert Season on New Holland New Holland is proud to announce that seasonal landscaping work on the park has been completed, which means, starting July 1, visitors to the island will be able to make the most of the large green lawn stretching out in front of the stage pavilion. The grass will now be open for general relaxing, playing sports or listening to music. The Island's concert season will kick-off with the rock group, Artemiev, marking the release of their new album, Kanum kontsa nachala [“The Eve of the Beginning’s End.”]

02.06.2017 Artist Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics brings Firebird Descent to New Holland Island Starting June 3, a giant Firebird will unfurl its massive tail across the sky over New Holland Island, as part of the latest project from the world-renowned artist Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics. Occupying over 10,000 square meters of space in total, this installation will mark the city’s first public art work at this scale

30.08.2016 New Holland is open for visitors This year, the final days on summer were crowned with the opening of New Holland Island, which has completed the first phase of its restoration and regeneration. Over the course of two days, New Holland received 49,130 visitors.
