Dasha is responsible for the general policy of the larger project of the restoration and regeneration of the island as well as its development on an international level and the overall direction of its activities.
Roxane has been busy at work implementing the given concept from the moment the investment contract was signed. She selects not only the projects, but the architects, designers and the entire creative team who will help realize the proposed ideas and directions. Roxane is also the mind behind the temporary program Summer in New Holland, as well as the programming for the new park and the island’s public spaces. She is a most rigorous inspector of quality, keeping tabs on all that happens on the island, from the doorknobs to the building façades.
Yulia carries the heaviest burden of the project, both physically and morally: overseeing the construction and restoration, securing approval from the various committees and other bureaucratic institutions, determining budgets and other very serious and important things. Part of the team from the very beginning, Yulia is perhaps the most indispensible staffer on the island. In addition to New Holland, Yulia also oversees Millhouse’s other interesting projects in Anapa and Omsk.
Natasha has built herself a reputation as a dependable person, capable of creating the best bars and cafés not only in Petersburg, but also in Moscow. She has been a member of the team since 2013 and is responsible for the island’s administration and operation. In other words, making sure that in the Infocenter, questions are answered coherently; that in the kiosks, the food was all up to scratch; that everywhere in the park remains clean and tidy; and that the employees and visitors were all having a good time, but also that the work was finished on time. In short, she ensures that everything is nothing short of delightful.
Vika was working at Loft-Project Etazhi before a vacancy at New Holland found its way to her in 2011. Vika performs a critical and often invisible job: sorting through all the applications, managing the production process and doing everything she can so that everything was done right and on time, while also finding the very best people to bring into the team. Vika is a true indicator of the correctness of a decision and the gentle soul of the project.
Alyosha began working with Dasha and Roxane back when the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture was still in the Bakhmetevsky Bus Station. Having put in a year working there, he moved to St Petersburg to dig in on New Holland. Alyosha seeks out and snags artists for exhibitions and performances, while also putting together a lecture program on art for the island. In 2014, while New Holland was closed for renovation, he found time to work on Manifesta 10.
Sasha joined the team at the end of 2016, when, with no time to spare, she managed to turn around a fabulously successful PR campaign for New Years on New Holland, inspiring the townspeople to descend in droves upon our ice-skating rink. From that day forward, we knew we couldn’t let her go. Sasha now leads all public relations with press from around the world, while also overseeing the work of the editor of our website and social media pages.
Vanya has long been a friend of New Holland’s. Earlier, as part of the P.T.H. Creative Manufacture, he helped the littlest visitors learn to draw, sculpt, take photographs and shoot films. Nowadays, this same Ivan looks out for all the most beautiful things, both on the island and in its virtual realm. Announcements, the website, invitations, banners and other printed materials, as well as a whole line of nifty souvenirs and useful bric-a-brac – all of these are the work of Vanya’s golden touch.
Valya is easily the most cheerful person on our team — proof of which can be found no further than on her Instagram page, where she daily diverges scenes from the office. But even more, Valya is an impeccable editor: before anything goes to print, she always meticulously inspects every last serif of every last letter, perusing every last layer of the document. This speaks volumes about the experience she gained working for the glossies.
Earlier, Lena worked in the hotel business, but now she's reserving rooms and buying plane tickets for the artists and performers participating in the cultural program at New Holland. In the office, Lena makes sure that everything is where it needs to be, that the printer always has its fair share of ink, and that in general, it's a pleasant place to work.

At the beginning, Lena joined our administrative team to take on the tedious, but nonetheless necessary work of circulating documents. But her boundless energy has since allowed her to tackle other important tasks, like the sourcing and procural of any number of the seemingly little details that we take great pride in: from the door knobs to the lighting fixtures, the flower pots to the wardrobes, and even the winter ice skates for children.
