22/09 'I Know What You did Last Summer. New Holland's Archival Photography.'

An exhibition of photography from New Holland’s archive summing up two seasons of the Summer in New Holland Project. The exhibition consists of photographs taken throughout the entirety of the project’s work in both 2011 and 2012. The exhibition will be will be located in the island's Art Gallery and along the fence covering the construction of the prison. Once in the gallery, the audience will be able to search for themselves in one of the thousands of stylised polaroid pictures and upon finding their image can sign it.

"The main heroes of this project are, of course, the people, the island’s visitors. It was the priority of the Summer in New Holland project to retrieve the island for the city and its citizens, to attract the broadest audience possible and to turn a once closed territory into a public space accessible for everyone. This exhibition is an interesting instrument for communication between the citizens and the island. We would like visitors to find themselves on the shots randomly snatched from life on the island and thus to feel that they are part of the project." - Svetlana Bekasova.

On September 22nd the exhibition will be open from 12:00 to 17:00, over the next few days - from 12:00 to 20:00. Admission is free.
