Day 7: Wednesday 10th of July

The day was full of work, but not without a little sightseeing.

Working on projects

This time our team of architects visited the state Museum Hermitage. Now there is an exhibition called «Utopia and reality. El Lissitzky, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov». The exhibition features many installations, drawings, paintings, sketches, models and photographs from various museums and private collections and these were accompanied by comments of the artists.

El Lissitzky (1890-1941) - one of the greatest masters of Russian avant-garde; painter, architect, book graphic artist, photographer, master of the poster, the reformer in design of exhibition space, teacher and theorist of the new art.

Ilya Kabakov (genus. 1933) is one of the most famous and popular Russian artists, which entered the classics of modern art.

Unfortunately we didn't have much time, and in addition to the new exhibitions each of us had a chance to view only their favorite artists from the Museum collection.

Working till late

After visiting the Winter Palace, we have returned to the island and continued to work and were so engrossed in the process, that we worked on the project till one o'clock.
