June 12 – October 26

In the year that celebrates the decade of the new history of New Holland Island, artist Agata Mann created a bright, three-dimensional sign imitating letters made of inflatable balloons. Holiday balloons are universal symbols that often accompany meaningful and joyful events in our lives. With her work, the artist literally refers to one of the most popular tales about Wonderland. At the same time, the artist would like this work, like Lewis Carroll’s fantasy novel, to provoke multiple readings, while its festive form encourages viewers to interpret it as they like.

Agata Mann (b. 1991, Sergiev Posad) creates installations and sculptural compositions using man-made materials and modern technologies. In her works she addresses the themes of commerce, self-actualisation, individual freedom, ecology, as well as their influence through the current media space on the formation of a new philosophy. Much of Agata’s creative journey is related to museum and commercial exhibitions, theatrical and film production, advertising products. This helped create a unique experience of learning about the inner mechanisms of mass culture and a special ambivalent attitude towards it.
