IRIS New Holland was established in 2011 as an arm of the IRIS Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and advancement of contemporary culture. Founded by Dasha Zhukova and Roman Abramovich in 2008, the IRIS Foundation has launched a number of successful projects and initiatives, both in Russia and abroad. Among the most notable of the foundation’s projects are the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow and the magazine, Garage.
