08.11.2021 Opening of the Ice Rink at New Holland Island On November 13, a winter Ice Rink will open on New Holland Island. The ice field of 2,000 m², as in previous years, will be located on the site of the large lawn near the main stage.

14.10.2021 New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival Announces Winners The II New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival took place from 6 to 13 October 2021. The films on the competition programme, the jury’s films and five out-of-competition programmes were screened at three venues: Assembly Hall at House 12 on New Holland Island, the Rodina Cinema Center and House of Cinema. The festival winners were selected by the international jury.

From October 6 to 13, St. Petersburg will be host to the New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival. The new Assembly Hall in House 12 at New Holland Island, the historic halls of the Rodina cinema centre, as well as the Dom Kino cinema hall will become the main venues for the Festival.

19.02.2021 Open Lecture Hall at New Holland Island On March 1st, the fourth season of the regular educational events Open Lecture Hall will begin in the Pavilion of New Holland Island. In 2021, the project will be focused on ten key themes.

10.11.2020 Opening of the Ice Rink at New Holland Island On November 14, the winter Ice Rink will re-open on New Holland Island. The 2,000-square-foot Ice Rink will still be located near the Main Stage which this time will be turned into a snow-covered winter forest. Guests will be entertained by forest monsters created by the team of the P.T.H. Creative Manufacture, and a terrace with hearths and comfortable chairs, where you can relax without taking off your skates will be set up at the entrance to the ice field.

25.08.2020 New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival announces its winners and the echo of the festival at the Garage Screen cinema of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art

The first New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival is taking place from August 14 to 28, 2020. Films from the competition programme as well as works of jury and some out of competition films can be watched online on the Nonfiction.film platform. The international jury was judging the programme remotely and selected the winners on Sunday, August 23.

13.08.2020 Special screenings of the first New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival

The first New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival would like to announce a programme of special screenings on the Island's Main stage from August 17 to 22. The programme will include prize-winners of major international festivals, as well as a screening of winners and Russian participants of the Short Film competition.

05.02.2020 New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival Announces Its 2020 Dates The frst New Holland International Debut Film Festival will take place in St. Petersburg from July 14 to 19, 2020. The festival was established in 2019 and marked its launch with an extensive preview programme that drew over 50,000 visitors to New Holland Island. In 2020, the festival will expand beyond the Island and will occupy several other venues in the city.

From February 1 until April 12 David Hockney's video artwork Woldgate Woods, Winter, 2010 will be shown in the courtyard of the Bottle House at New Holland Island.

06.11.2019 Opening of New Holland Island Ice Rink On November 16, the Ice Rink will open at New Holland Island for the fourth time. The 2,000 m2 ice field will still be located on the lawn area in front of the Main Stage but this year visitors will have more opportunities to have a great time before, during and after the skating session.

24.10.2019 New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival Education Programme New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival has launched a regular education programme. Its aim is to introduce the key European filmmakers and schools and their various teaching methods to general public as well as promote work by up and coming filmmakers and most current trends in contemporary cinema. The next events will take place on October 26-27 and November 2.
