Senior Research Fellow at the Russian Academy of the Sciences Institute of World Literature, and collaborator at the Nikolai Fyodorov Museum Library at Moscow’s Public Library № 180, Anastasia Gacheva, Ph.D., will present The World of the Future, As Envisioned by Russian Cosmism, a report that focuses on the flow of Russian thought and culture over the 19th and 20th century, bringing together philosophers and scientists, writers and artists. Gacheva will guide the audience through the how the major theorists of Russian Cosmism envisioned the future, how their futurological ideas were reflected in the works of the Soviet poets, and what the notions of an active evolution of the noosphere and immortality offer to the contemporary context.
