The following films have been chosen: Last Summer - about the female inhabitants of the dilapidated Grey Gardens estate in the Hamptons and the New York bohemian scene of the 1970sl; Faces Places, a travelogue in which Agnès Varda, leading figure in the French New Wave and street artist JR tour provincial France with their joint art-project, and also Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami, in which the singer is, perhaps for the first time ever, seen without her makeup, social entourage and lengthy Wikipedia entries.

The Beat Film Festival is one of Russia's largest film festivals, as well as being an important cultural event giving people access to the latest happenings in the world of music, contemporary art, media, street culture, sport and tech. The festival's mission is to shape the cultural agenda and open up documentary film to the wider public as a new genre and way to spend time.
