Under the direction of Dmitry Volkostrelov, the independent theatre troupe, theatre post, will transform New Holland’s park into a space for a performance unlike any other. At the park entrance, the audience members will not receive any production notes, nor any libretto, nor any photographs of the actors. What’s more, there will not even be a proper stage or seating for the audience. Invisible Theatre is a production developed especially for the island. It will blend itself into the space of the park so perfectly that the audience members may even miss that it is there. Alternately, attentive spectators can catch many fascinating scenes unfolding, or strange dialogues drifting through the air. There’s no way to tell which of these scenes or dialogues has been performed by actors and which happened naturally, the “real life” of the island. The plot will reveal itself only the following day, when those who would like can receive an email with a description of the play from theatre post.
