Perevorot. Musical play by Dmitry Brusnikin’s Theatre

09/02/2016
8:00 pm Stage

September 2, 8:00 pm

One of the most promising theatrical troupes in Moscow, the Dmitry Brusnikin’s Theatre will bring Perevorot to the stage of New Holland. Armed with musical instruments, the so-called Brusnikintsi present a bold and dynamic musical, based on two plays by Dmitri Prigov: I Play the Accordion and Revolution. This play does not have any specific roles or objectives. Each verse is delivered to the harsh, “inconvenient” accompaniment of drums and bass-guitar, while each gesture just adds to the overarching meaning, steeped in ironic sarcasm. The production’s authors are its performers themselves, with Golden Mask winner Yury Muravitsky serving as director.

Performers: Igor Titov, Vasily Butkevich, Petr Skvortsov, Alexey Lyubimov, Sergey Karaban, Alexey Martynov, Yury Mezhevich, Vasily Mikhailov, Daria Avratinskaya, Marina Vasilyeva, Olga Vorobyeva, Darya Vorokhobko, Anastasia Velikorodnaya, Mikhail Plutakhin, Roman Kolotukhin

Artist: Katya Scheglova
