Lecture Hall

June 9, 7:30 pm

Written by the contemporary film and media researchers Thomas Elsaesser and Malte Hagener, the book is a guide to film theory encompassing nearly all accrued knowledge on the moving image. It offers the reader various answers to the question on the relationship between the cinematographer, sensory perception and the human body. During the presentation Thomas Elsaesser will talk about the book, recently published in translation by Séance, and also about the challenges with which contemporary cinema and its new modes of existence confront film and media theorists.

Admission is free of charge. The number of participants is limited. Please register in advance.
