In the middle of September, New Holland Island will host a festival of flying kites, organized by the ProKite Club.
The Island’s entire grassy lawn will be stationed with more than 150 flag poles, decorated in all manner of ornamentation, with trailing flags, hypno-twisters, mini-turbines, rainbow ribbons and flying fish. Filling the air will be kites of all shapes and sizes, while in the Big Tent there will be workshops for kite-making and tips for flying kites safely.
